Thank you, when I took photography in school it taught me a few things that even if you are taking a picture of a person or an object that the background can make or break a good picture.
Just use good lighting, I also work on the macro setting on my camera for detail shots and the scenery I use is usually something that contrasts against the model and does not was out my shots....
I may end up redoing my Western Figures (points to the left side) as the Yellowish background tend to wash the figures, mainly in the case of the brown/yellow rocks....
I like it. The background add a lot of character to the picture. May be I should take some pictures like yours!!
