A cool surprise in the mail box!

Well, I opened the mail box the other day to find a package in there from the UK! I thought at first this was my belated Panzer G tank that I purchased from a bloke overseas from the Lead Adventure forums. Long story short, there was a delay in sending the package due to a death in the family. So, I am very understanding on those matters, been there and gone through that hell.

I opened it up to find a package of miniatures from Black Cat Bases! Just awhile back I was wondering when they would put the new figures out in production and voila, here they are! It was a belated 40th birthday gift and a thank you for hosting the contest.

What did I get? Well, no pictures yet as they are not official and I don’t want to steal the thunder of BCB’s announcement and pictures…a French maid with a duster, a big foot/yeti monster (very cool I  may add), a chap with a cat and book in hand (has a spot for another item to be slotted in and looks like someone famous we enjoy reading), a Tommy Gun packing trench coat guy, a dapper looking chap in a suit (with lots of fine detail and a spot to add something to his right hand) and the guy with the shotgun with some game in his left hand. Toss in a few hand sprues including a cool new one with a hand holding a cig, knife, umbrella, lantern, flashlights, pistols, knife, holy water sprinkler just to name a few! Needless to say, I started to clean and base them for the next weather break to primer then paint!

I can’t say enough good things about this company, quality miniatures, great people, excellent customer service, supports the hobby to name a few things. If you have not checked out their stuff, please drop over and check them out. Tell them Styx at Lead Adventure Forums sent you over.

Just click on their link to the left of my blog!
